Text Box: Rules and Information for Use of Xaxli’p Facilities

1. Statement of purpose;
Xaxli’p serves the community by making its physical facilities available for activities, gatherings and meetings, and meetings that are consistent with the social principles and objectives of Xaxli’p.

2. Application and Agreement Requirements and Process
Requirements: All groups using Xaxli’p facilities must have on file with Xaxli’p, a currently effective, properly completed and signed Application and Approval form.
Process: Request facility reservations by contacting Xaxli’p Administration Office; the request must identify a contact person for the proposed activity. Xaxli’p Administration provides information on available dates and notes requests on calendar pending Administration approval. Requestor must submit an Application and Approval to the Administration Office two weeks to one month prior to the first date of use. Approval may be given by a designated Manager.

3. Xaxli’p Facilities available for use;
Education Centre
Xaxli’p Hall
	    Hall Kitchen
	    Health Kitchen
C. 	Youth Centre

4. Conduct while using the facilities
Appropriate use during the activity or event is expected of all users.
Alcohol beverages are not allowed in the building or on Xaxli’p Administration Office grounds.
Smoking is not allowed inside any buildings, cigarettes outside must be disposed of in the receptacles outside Main Entrances.

5. Security Deposit;
  A security deposit is required at the discretion of Xaxli’p. The security deposit is refundable if the rules for the facility are followed and no damage occurs.

6. Care of Facilities
Users must leave the facilities in the same condition as they find them and restore the facilities to there original order.
If kitchen equipment is used, it must be cleaned and properly returned to storage.
Kitchen work surfaces and floor must be left clean.
Users must bring their own paper cups, plates, tableware etc. DO NOT USE XAXLI’P ITEMS
Be for leaving:
		I.    Put away any chairs or tables that you set up.
		II.  All trash must be taken out to bins provided.
		III. Turn off the lights, including the bathroom lights.
IV. Promptly notify the Administration liaison person to (1) close and lock exterior doors (2) damage to the facilities or equipment occurs  (3) a potentially hazardous situation develops.
		V. No animals are allowed in the facilities with the exception of service animals.

7. Responsibilities
The signer of the application for facilities use, or a designated alternate person, is responsible for the actions of the user groups at all times when they are on Xaxli’p grounds. Promptly report damages to the building or equipment to the liaison person by phone and in a written, signed and dated letter. Full reimbursements must be made for damages caused by user groups.
